Bio
Brought up in Africa, I have been painting animals all my life. Having travelled extensively, I have been inspired by the people I’ve met and the fauna of the countries I’ve lived in and love trying to capture the light and drama on paper. I am married to an Army Officer and have a young son; we love being outdoors, exploring wherever the army sends us, and travelling as much as we can - although not much in the past year of course!
I am entirely self taught, working in a variety of media but specialising in soft pastel. Animal portraits have become one of my specialties, mainly in pastel but also in oil. For obvious reasons, I am also painting increasing numbers of military subjects, which I love. I am happy to undertake commissions of any subject, working from your own good quality photos or taking my own. If you would like to commission a painting, please get in touch here..
Commissioned by many international clients including Shadwell Stud, Juddmonte Farms and the Royal Gurkha Rifles, my work hangs in private collections all over the world.
My work has been featured in a number of magazines including Shooting Times, Cotswold Life and, most recently, in the June 2018 issue of House and Garden.
