I have always loved horses and painted them endlessly throughout my childhood - to the despair of my art teacher! Having ridden horses and worked with them, I have awe and respect for their spirit, endurance and courage. And a huge dollop of love for the foals, whose antics never fail to lift the spirits! They are a never ending inspiration and challenge to paint.
