I spent most of my teens and early twenties living and working in the thoroughbred racing and breeding world both in the UK and my Kenya home. Racehorses are my first love and a subject I have always loved painting. The majesty of the animals, the atmosphere of racecourses, the anticipation of the sales ring. The first horse I ever painted was as a thank you to a lady who had a very good racehorse. She became a huge supporter of mine and commissioned me to paint every horse and dog she had ever owned. At 16, she gave me a dream start to my art career and I will be forever grateful to her.
